After claiming silver at the 2000 X Games and gold at the Australian X Games in 2002, Cory ‘Nasty’ Nastazio’s accomplishments earned him the NORA Cup in 2002 and 2003. However, his career took an unexpected turn in April 2004, when the car he was driving crashed into a tree and he suffered a haemorrhage on one side of his brain, broken ribs, and a collapsed lung. However, Nasty battled back and made a full recovery. Since the accident, whenever he wants to take a contest seriously, he places near the top. He has won numerous dirt jumping events, including the 2006 Extreme Thing contest, and landed in the top ten overall in the Dew Tour’s BMX dirt rankings in both 2005 and 2008. Born in 1978 in Flushing, New York, larger-than-life Nasty was raised in West Palm Beach, Florida. He was always one of the fastest kids on the track and once he found his comfort zone in dirt jumping there was no looking back. Not known for a huge trick list, the tricks he does do are always done better than anyone else out there. And when he's not throwing his trademark Superman seatgrab or the occasional double backflip, he stays busy in other walks of life - famous for his tattoos, spiky hair, and crazy personality, his popularity has landed him in the pages of news and lifestyle magazines and on numerous TV reality shows, including VH1’s The X Life.
