Eric Willett burst onto the scene in 2010, by winning gold in the Winter X Europe Slopestyle and silver at the Winter X Games - all in his rookie year. He backed this up with a bronze at Tignes the following year, but failed to podium at the Winter X Games in both 2011 and 2012. In 2013 he landed an incredible switch backside 1260 mute to win the 2013 Billabong Air & Style contest. This put him in esteemed company, with previous winners including Jim Ripper, Kevin Pearce, Terje Haakonsen and Travis Rice. Willet described joining such legends in the history books as the "best feeling in the world". Born in Colorado, USA, in 1988, Willett began boarding in 1994 and competing in 2009, initially attracting plenty of interests due to his exploits on YouTube. He is currently in his prime and it is likely that we will see him improve even further in the years to come. Willett rides goofy on a Omatic Celebrity 154 board and honed his talent at his home mountain, Breckenridge. He is one the elite group of riders who can stomp a double cork at will and has incredible rail skills, with the ability to spin into pretty much any slide/grind there is. One thing is for sure, Eric Willett will be a threat at any tournament he enters over the next few years.
