Travis Rice lives and breathes the mountains. The son of a ski patrolman, Travis spent his younger years exploring the surroundings of Jackson Hole, Wyoming. He's never really stopped. TRice, to his friends, has 30 titles to his name during his 12 years in professional snowboarding. Having won everything he turned his hand to big mountain riding and been responsible to pushing it to new heights. Already a great, Travis achieved infamy when he became the first snowboarder to hit Chad's Gap. His huge mute grab over the 120ft jump in Utah put him on the cover of almost every snowboard magazine going. Rice has also turned his hand to some seriously heavy film parts. 'That's It, That's All' and 'The Art of Flight' are two of the biggest snowboarding movies of all time with Rice instrumental in organising and starring in these genre defining movies. In TITA his landed the first ever double cork 1260 this was followed by a clean sweep of Transworld Magazine Rider’s Poll. He won Rider of the Year, Video Part of the Year, Standout of the Year, and Readers’ Choice award. Having mastered the competition circuit and accrued an incredible filmography, Travis turned his hands to running competitions. The Red Bull Super Natural featured progressive features built by Rice himself and delicious powder and has quickly becoming one of the biggest events in the snowboarding calendar. In films, competitions and big mountain riding Travis Rice has been a constant for almost fifteen years. First he mastered what was already there and from there he has helped taking the sport to the next level.
