The City of Arts and Science became the best urban spot of the Spanish wakeboard.
Raph Derome got victory thanks to heelside 900º at big kicker.

Valencia, 9th June, 2012. Leaps of up to 10 meters long and 4 meters high, amazing spins of up to 900º and backwards somersaults were some of the tricks the riders completed since Friday morning at the Red Bull Art of Wake event, held at the City of Arts and Science of Valencia. The lake by the Príncipe Felipe Museum became the best urban wakeboard spot in Spain thanks to the six modules spread along it's 200 meter length.

Raph Derome was victorious at the Red Bul Art of Wake after beating Marc Rossiter in the final round. The Canadian rider got the audience on their feet thanks to a heelside 900º from a big kicker and a sweet 270º nosepress at the pool. Derome commented how "great the level of the other participants was. Some riders such as Dominik Hernler and Mattias Hoppe showed their best tricks during the whole weekend."
