Chasing the Swell

This is a three part video and multimedia story that I made for the Los Angeles Times about big wave surfing during the historic El Niño big wave season of 2010-11. The story follows a handful of the best big wave surfers in the world as they chase a swell along the Pacific Ocean from Waimea Bay in Oahu, Hawaii, to "Mavericks" in Half Moon Bay, California to "Killers" in Todos Santos, Mexico.
