Making Dakar Part Two: Preparation and Training.

Making Dakar Part Two focuses on the unseen side of being a privateer team in the Dakar, the preparation. Whilst many of the big teams in the Dakar have full time employees working on their race projects, every member of Team Delta Kunststoffe Husqvarna UK have full time jobs, meaning that only evenings and weekends are left for building bikes, packing parts, stripping spare bikes, organising logistics, media and training and testing.

The second part of the series also introduces two new faces, team mechanic Evan Davies and the team driver and logistics expert, Paul Green. Both Paul and Evan have had an incredible amount of work on their hands to get the bikes and assistance vehicle for the riders Simon and Don.

The episode also looks into what goes into to training for a grueling race like Dakar and how difficult it is for privateers to make sure they are fully prepared for the difficulties ahead.
