In the third episode Protest team wakeboarder Sjors van de Kerkhof gives you a step-by-step guide how to do an Ollie.
So check this episode, collect your gear, head to the water, put on that smile and get there!
For you first Ollies you won't need too much speed. Just stay under the cable. Most people find it easier to Ollie over a small obstacle, like a buoy.
1. Squad down as you approach the buoy.
2. Pull up your front leg and at the same time pop with your back foot.
(Don't let the handle get too far away from you)
3. Once you go up, pull in your back foot as well to get your board horizontal.
(Let your back hand go to prevent spinning)
4. Absorb the landing by bending your knees.
Once you get the hang of it you are ready to pop over higher obstacles!
Wakeboarding is extremely fun and addictive. People around you will notice an everlasting big smile on your face. Your life will contain more pleasure and you will ask yourself why you waited so long before you gave it a try.
