Having a shot at shaping your own raft is very much back in vogue at the moment. It's what hipsters do. But to have a proper go at it, a shaping rack will help. This is where Portugal's Driftwood Collective come in. Their challenge was to build a shaping rack without spending a penny... In the end, they had to spend 7.80 euros on screws but it's a good recycling effort from one unused bed frame, two faulty wooden trestles and one camping mat.
